Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition English Move Lists

Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition is here! Download translated/localized move lists for your Vewlix or Vewlix Tournament Edition.

I created these by downloading the original Japanese movelist assets posted on the Capcom Japan Street Fighter IV website. It was a painstaking (30+ hour) process of dealing with garbled PDF files in Adobe Illustrator. Lots of outlined/pixelated Kanji had to be identified (I’m no expert there). Translated strings of text were compared with what was already available in official US Capcom materials to keep it “authentic.”

Special thanks to Nick Des Barres from Warning! A Huge Podcast and Sean Soni (LowFierce) for their assistance with this project.

This may not be the final version of these documents. I wanted to get this project posted on launch day. Once I have reviewed the in-game move list, I may revise the names or other text. Also, if you know better, please post any translation/localization notes you may have in the comments.

The Marquee

This is the piece that is sandwiched in the plexiglass atop the cabinet. The Japanese text could not be removed, but a “subtitle” was added below. Translation of that text came from this article.

This is meant to be printed on A3 (11.69″ x 16.54″) sized paper and includes cut lines.

Evil Ryu and Oni Move List Marquee Side Cards

The Japanese in the area that will be behind the marquee was not translated.

This is meant to be printed on A4 (8.3″ x 11.7″) sized paper full bleed with no cut lines.

Top Speaker Bar Move List

Yes, even Balrog, Vega, and M. Bison have had their names swapped with some crafty Photoshop work. Did you notice?

Both speaker bar move lists were combined to one document meant to be printed on A3 (11.69″ x 16.54″) paper and include cut lines.

Bottom Speaker Bar Move List

Gouki has been renamed to Akuma as well.

Vewlix Control Panel Move List

Did my best with Yun and Yang. This may be revised upon DLC release.

This is roughly 26″ wide. I’m not sure what size paper it should be printed on. I printed it on A3 (11.69″ x 16.54″) and pieced it together between Cody and Ibuki. The Capcom Japan PDF is incorrectly sized for A3 paper. This does include white cut lines.

I’m looking for the same thing. I recently converted a vanilla SFIV cab into an 360 with Ultra and I want to replace the Japanese graphics with english.
