Elation – A Note of Thanks
When I rolled out of bed this morning, I found that my wife had made me coffee and peanut butter chip pancakes. All while she was getting ready to go to school — I get to work from home today. After I made the commute to my office (a walk up the stairs), I actually had to close the blinds because it is so sunny outside. On top of that, the rest of this week is supposed to be above 60ยบ here in Michigan.
Nothing could top that, right?
Wrong.
The first email I read today was from WordPress, telling me that MadCatz/SD Tekken’s own MarkMan had A) found my blog, and B) thought enough of my project to comment on it, and even call it “amazing.”
Then, as I’m right-arrowing through my RSS Feeds in NewsFire, as I do every morning, I see that S-KILL (Capcom’s Seth Killian, yes, that Seth), deemed my project worthy to post in the main Capcom-Unity blog! He even did a fantastic write-up of it with extra pictures and everything.
So, a big huge thanks to S-KILL, MarkMan, and everyone else who has posted on this blog, my Capcom-Unity blog, my Flickr gallery, and anywhere else. You have made it all worthwhile and about 100x more rewarding.

Hey Donovan! Congratulations and fantastic work on the cabinet. Reading your blog, I was struck by the uncanny similarities in us.
I’m building a cabinet myself, I’m a creative director as well, and my commute is DOWN a flight of stairs.
Though, I did not wake up to Peanut Butter Chip Pancakes. That may have to change.
